“If only anyone could know and live with their inner craziness. Would the world be a worse place for it? No, people would be fairer and happier.”

“Twenty-four-year-old Veronika seems to have everything-youth and beauty, boyfriends and a loving family, a fulfilling job. But something is missing in her life. So, one cold November morning, Veronika decides to die. She takes a handful of sleeping pills, expecting never to wake up. But she does- at a mental hospital where she is told that she has only days to live.”

I read this last april and I am kinda into books with suicidal thoughts(I started with Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock). Reading this kind of novels make me want to value life more and be blessed that I am still alive. Life may not be perfect but you just need to enjoy it. Everything happens for a reason and everything will fall on its proper place soon.

So anyway, this an easy read for me although it is about suicide. It is ironic to know that the character decided to end her life even though she got everything that she need. For me it is realistic, people tend to want more even though their cup is already full. This story tells us that it is not enough that you are surrounded by positive vibes and a happy life you need to feel it within yourself, within your heart and within your soul. This story also shows how we find comfort even in stranger’s company. It is like you find a friend in unexpected people and in unexpected place. It also taught me that we are all crazy in our own way. Being different is not really that bad, it is just a matter of acceptance. And lastly, it tells us to value life.

I would rate it as 3.8 stars over 5, the flow of the story is amazing and it has a lot of moral lesson. I love the characters. This story speaks in all ages. This is totally amazing!
